You’ll be transferred from your hotel to Adelaide Station to begin the iconic journey from the south to the centre of Australia aboard the legendary train, the Ghan. The adventure begins - keep your eyes open, so you don’t miss a thing! You’ll travel towards the Flinders Ranges, taking in the vast landscapes of the Australian Outback. After dinner, spend the night in your cabin, gently lulled by the rhythm of the train.

This morning, wake up to admire the striking contrast between the vivid red earth and the deep blue sky. Enjoy a brief stop in Marla, a remote area of the Australian Outback, as The Ghan train pauses. After 25 hours on board The Ghan, you will have travelled 1,555 kilometres, passing golden wheat fields, vast sheep stations, rugged mountains, salt lakes, and the formidable Simpson Desert. Upon arrival in Alice Springs, you’ll board a coach for a tour of the largest town in the Outback. You’ll visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the School of the Air, and the Old Telegraph Station, now a museum and the site of the springs that gave Alice Springs its name. In the afternoon, you’ll check in at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. In the evening, you may choose to join our optional bush barbecue for a fun-filled night.

After breakfast, set off towards Uluru! This enormous rock, also known as Ayers Rock, is the largest monolith in the world and holds deep cultural significance for the Aboriginal communities of the Northern Territory. This evening, marvel at the festival of reds and oranges cast over Uluru by the setting sun (with a glass of sparkling wine in hand!).
